Exotic Experience
Everyone has some interest in exotic animals. Some people love them, some are afraid of them, some are passionate and want to save them.. but mostly we all are intrigued. I am one of the passionate people.. I am blessed to be able to own a few as pets, and run a small petting zoo doing tours, parties and summer camps. I thought it would be cool to start a blog giving details and info about certain breeds of exotics on a daily or weekly basis..
This is my first.. My neice was visiting, and since I own two kangaroos.. she asked my the question .. how many different kinds of kangaroos are there? I said 25.. HOWEVER.. when I reasearched this I found there are actually about 63 different species of kangaroos, ranging from the largest.. red kangaroo to the smallest pademelons which weigh only a couple of kilograms full grown. My two boys haere are of the larger variety.. The big guy Owen is an Eastern gray, and the little guy Rooster is a young ( 3 years old) western gray who is still growing. Neither have pouches, as only the females have pouches for carrying their young. http://www.exoticexperience.net/
